Cole
Family
History
The history
of any
family is a
cherished
tale of
hardship,
courage, and
perseverance.
As time
progressed,
the fate of
many family
members was
lost in the
events of
those times.
Fortunately,
a few
individuals
stood out
throughout
history to
the extent
that their
lives have
been
documented
in great
detail.
Its this
detail that
allows
family
researches
to piece
together the
fragments of
so many
others that
time has
almost
forgotten
along the
way.
We hope that
you'll join
us in
filling in
those gaps
as we
present the
history of
our branch
of the Cole
family.

Across The
Frontier
by Gary C.
Cole of
Garland,
Texas
The three
and one-half
centuries of
American
history
following
the settling
of Jamestown
is
essentially
a history of
the movement
of people
from the
Atlantic
coast inland
then across
one frontier
after
another.
And that is
the history
of the Cole
family in
America as
they moved
inland in
Virginia
then across
the frontier
to Georgia,
Alabama,
Mississippi,
and Texas
